Imagine living a pain-free and blissful life!

Wouldn't that be wonderful?

What if you had a magic wand that could erase all your aches and pains?

What would your life look like if you were not limited by your pain?

Would you spend more time playing with your kids or grandkids?

Take long walks with your loved ones?

Plan a road trip? Or travel around the world?

Start gardening again?

Play golf with your friends?

Dance the night away with your friends?

There will be nothing holding you back. You will only be limited by your imagination!

 Don't think that's possible?

Think again. I have seen numerous transformations over the years!

When Mary came for her first visit, she had to use a back brace so she could sit in a chair as we were going through her medical history. She had difficulty walking and was using a wheelchair for longer distances. After 6 months of therapy, she could go for a 7 mile hike with her husband! She was so happy!

Becky had suffered from pelvic pain and severe PMS for several years! It was affecting her productivity at work. She was so frustrated. She had tried everything from massage, pain pills to chiropractic care. But nothing worked. After few visits of pelvic floor rehabilitation, her pain was gone! She was excited to get back to her normal life.

2 years ago, Julie had bladder prolapse, urinary incontinence and pelvic pain. Her doctor advised her to undergo surgery. Within 12 weeks, she started feeling better and 90% of her symptoms were gone! She didn't need that surgery after all! She was so thrilled to see the improvement.

How did these patients get these results? Why did massage or other therapies not work for them?

Don't get me wrong. Massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture etc. are great modalities and have changed people's lives! But for some of you, it is not enough. You need something more than these therapies can offer.

If these therapies are failing to get the desired results, you may have what we call "myofascial restrictions".
It is a fancy term for tightness in your connective tissues.

Our fascia (or connective tissue) is continuous from head to toe and covers all the bones, muscles and organs. It is like a silk scarf that moves freely when we move. But any injury, surgery or even poor posture, causes this fascia to develop areas of restrictions so it can't move freely anymore. This can lead to muscle tension, chronic pain or extreme fatigue.

Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique that addresses this problem. It helps to release the adhesions in fascial issues thereby reducing the muscle tension and increasing the range of motion of your joints.

It has helped thousands of women around the world become pain-free and active again. It can help you too!

How does Myofascial Release Work?

Fascia (connective tissue in our bodies) plays an important role in the support and function of our bodies, since it surrounds and attaches to all structures. In the normal healthy state, the fascia is relaxed and wavy in configuration. It has the ability to stretch and move without restriction.

When one experiences physical trauma, emotional trauma, scarring, or inflammation, however, the fascia loses its pliability. It becomes tight, restricted, and a source of tension to the rest of the body. Trauma, such as a fall, car accident, whiplash, surgery or just habitual poor posture and repetitive stress injuries has cumulative effects on the body.

The changes trauma causes in the fascial system influences comfort and function of our body. Fascial restrictions can exert excessive pressure causing all kinds of symptoms producing pain, headaches or restriction of motion. Fascial restrictions affect our flexibility and stability, and are a determining factor in our ability to withstand stress and perform daily activities.

The use of Myofascial Release allows us to look at each patient as a unique individual. Our one-on-one therapy sessions are hands-on treatments during which our therapist uses a multitude of Myofascial Release techniques and movement therapy. We promote independence through education in proper body mechanics and movement, self treatment instruction, enhancement of strength, improved flexibility, and postural and movement awareness.
