About Yoga Therapy

  1. What is Yoga Therapy?
    Yoga Therapy is the use of Yoga Poses, Breathing Practices and Meditation for therapeutic purposes like relieving low back pain.
  2. What is the membership cost?
    Group Yoga Therapy is $120 per month. You will get customized yoga program to help you relieve your back pain and restore function.
  3. How do I get started?
    Call Anjali (Owner and Yoga/Physical Therapist) at (832) 610-5564 to book your first session. It lasts for 30 minutes and includes assessment of your pain and mobility as well as creating a yoga program to get you started.
  4. How often do I need to come to the studio?
    Group yoga therapy is offered twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. You can come anytime during these hours for your own yoga practice.

About Specialized Physical/Massage Therapy

  1. Do you accept my medical insurance for physical therapy treatment?
    We do not accept any medical insurance. This allows us to customize our treatment to meet your needs without worrying about insurance coverage. Our patients pay out of their pockets.
  2. What type of therapies do you offer?
    We offer following therapies for chronic pain management: Craniosacral Therapy Myofascial Release Yoga Therapy
  3. What is the cost for physical therapy treatment?
    Cost per treatment is $75 for 30 min session. The payment is due at the time of the visit. We accept cash, checks or credit cards. A fee of $35 will be charged for a returned check.
  4. What is Craniosacral Therapy (CST)?
    CST is a very gentle, hands-on technique where therapist places her hands on the areas of restrictions and helps reduce the muscle tension, alleviate stress and relieve pain. It is highly effective in reducing neck/back pain & headaches.
  5. What is Myofascial Release (MFR)?
    MFR is a form of manual therapy in which therapist places gentle but sustained pressure on areas of restrictions and helps to stretch out the tight muscles and improve the range of motion of stiff and painful joints. It is very effective in reducing chronic pain and restoring function.
  6. What is Yoga Therapy?
    Yoga Therapy is the use of science and art of Yoga and Meditation to help relieve pain and reduce stress. You will be given a customized program which includes yoga poses to help with your specific problem, meditation, breathing practices and deep relaxation technique.
  7. I don't know what therapy I need. Please help!
    If you are frustrated with your current pain management and would like to explore more options, give Anjali a call. She will discuss your current health issues and recommend a treatment plan that is just right for you. Most often we use the combination of all three therapies.
  8. Do I need a prescription for physical therapy?
    Anjali is a physical & massage therapist. As a massage therapist, she can perform these therapies and as a yoga instructor, she can give you a yoga program. If you want a physical therapy evaluation & exercise program, then you will need a prescription. The cost remains the same.
